“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive; because what the world needs is more people who have come alive.”

- Howard Thurman

Kylie is a counselling therapist and horsewoman from Chilliwack, BC Canada. As a horsemanship and nature enthusiast, Kylie specializes in integrating horses and the outdoors into mental health and wellness. Some of her favourite break-through moments with clients have taken place while guiding groups that involved: trail riding, hiking, kayaking, sailing, white water rafting, rock climbing, caving, high ropes, and ziplining.

In a time when screens and technology are rapidly advancing and impacting the development of the brain, it’s more important than ever to develop strategies for navigating pressure, stress, and the fast pace of life. Unplugging from our devices, getting out into nature and leaning into the present moment are just a few of the ways we can greatly reduce tension and anxiety. By moving the body, expanding our comfort zones, and creating new experiences in nature, Kylie enjoys helping people who sometimes struggle to reach their goals in traditional counselling settings.

Kylie also works with horseback riders to navigate pressure, stress, performance anxiety, trauma, lack of motivation, trouble with focus, and relational connection. By helping riders understand themselves more, Kylie empowers equestrians to connect more deeply and create the relationship with horses that they always dreamed of. Kylie has worked intensively with seasoned horsemen and enjoys blending performance sport psychology with relational horsemanship from a trauma-informed perspective.
